Mojstrana at 641m above sea level is located in the north east corner of Slovenia with the Austrian border just three miles away. Slovenia borders with Italy, Austria, Hungary and Croatia, there is also a coastal strip of about 15 miles long to the far south (2.5hrs drive). Ljubljana airport is just a 45 minute drive from the apartment - This airport is serviced, among others, by Easyjet from Stansted airport with a flights lasting just over two hours. For those without a car a train will get you to within 5 miles of Mojstrana to Jesenice station where a bus or taxi can be taken for the final part of the journey. There is a local ski run but the major ski area is at Kranjska Gora which is only 10 minutes drive away, this can also be reached using the regular local bus service.
Venice
can be reached for a day trip - 3hrs drive.
